My interest in piping started through hearing pipe bands play in the square at Braemar and at 10 years old my musical journey in piping began. Early tuition by Michael Cowie saw me achieve my College of Piping Grade 3 certificate within 1 year. This then led to a move into pipe band life under the direction of the late Pipe Major John Lawson at Rubislaw Pipe Band in Grade 4B. After my first full competing season in 2012, I then joined the ranks of Bucksburn and District Juvenile Pipe Band at 12 years old. During this time I advanced my piping skills attaining membership of the Grade 2 Band at 13 years of age. In Grade 2, under the teaching influence of former Pipe Major Neil Selbie, I have taken on a high level of responsibility within the band as we consistently push for top 3 places at the major championships.

As of July 2019, I was awarded a Higher National Diploma in Music from North East Scotland College.

I am currently studying for a BSc in Cyber Security at

Robert Gordon University.
